Salary: £21,693-£26,470 (+ £908 local weighting)

We’re currently seeking a Residential Child Care Officer to join our Mallards Children’s Home as we work to strengthen our Safe, Secure and Successful model.
Residential Child Care Officers contribute to the provision of a safe, appropriate and stimulating environment for children and young people in care. You will support children and young people by showing an awareness of their individual interests and preferences, by introducing them to a range of different experiences and enabling them to make informed choices wherever possible.
For this role you will hold a certificate in Children and Young People’s Workforce Diploma Level 3 with Social Care Pathway, or equivalent, as well as possessing experience of working with children and young people in a residential setting and experience of preparing care plans, completing risk assessments and writing reports. Note that this post does require shift work including public holidays, weekends and nights.
